Development approved project for a new secondary dwelling – otherwise known as a ‘granny flat’ – to the rear of a house in Forest Lodge.

The site is long and narrow, and the dwelling has been designed to extend to the boundaries at the sides and rear of the site to maximise internal floor space.

Windows have been concentrated at the open end, facing the existing house, and in cuts in the fire-rated walls at one side.
Sun shading to the side openings is by hit-and-miss brickwork, to retain continuity of the brick skin.
